Adoption process

We usually have a waiting list to adopte at our hamstery. Waiting time depends of time of year and the litters we have. Despite this, it's rare that the waiting time exceed one or two months, contact us for more details.

Avantages adopting at our hamstery

We are the only one to have pure breed winter white in Canada.

When you adopt at our hamstery, you are sure to have a quality hamster, manipulated each day and reproduce according to the species criteria. Our hamsters are more healthy and friendly that at petstore.  

You adopte a pedigree hamster known since several generations. The parents have been chosen for their health and behaviour.

A hamster who has been feed with hight quality food and vegetable since birth.

A guarantee that we will take back your hamster if you cannot keep it.

Procedure to join our waiting list

1. Contact us by email elhamstery@hotmail.com, Facebook or Instagram. The answer will be faster by this two last communication options.

2. We will send you a form to fill in with our adoption conditions (see bellow).

3. Send us a picture of you habitat who meets ours criteria of minimum 450 sq inches. 

4. We will contact you within one week after you complete the form.

-If you are accepted on our waiting list, we will ask you for a 10$ deposit (non refoundable if you change your mind). You can transfer your deposit without fees to another littler, your are not obliged to adopt in the first available litter. 

-If you are not accepted, we will contact you to talk about what you need to ameliorate.

Babies choices

1. When the babies will be born, you will be contacted and informed of the adoption date (it will be possible to come another day if you aren't available).

2. We will inform you of the hamsters we have available taking into account the criteria selected in your form one week before the adoption day. Babies leave at the age of 1.5 month (7 weeks).

Cost

Winter white dwarfs hamsters are 60$.

*Our retirees are $15 and give you priority on the waiting list for an upcoming adoption.

Adoption contract

• Take care of his hamster and provide him minimum 450 sq inch habitat, appropriate foods and accessories.

• Assume veterinarians fees if needed.

• Bring back the hamster at the hamstery if you abandon it. 

• Inform the breeder when the hamster will pass away.

• Never breed the hamster.
